Onboarding Technology Manager
I began working at InterStar in July 2000. I was in college at the time and was intrigued by the idea of remotely monitoring car dealerships, financial institutions and convenience stores, and by being the “hero behind the scenes”. I enjoy the fast paced environment of security and the excitement of not knowing what could happen next.
I love thinking of new ways to make us better and more efficient – because the team’s success is very important to me. It’s fulfilling knowing that what I do has an impact on how well the Protection Specialists are able to do their job.
Moving into the new building was an eye-opening experience. The realization that all the hard work by the Iverify staff had resulted in this great new adventure was simply amazing.
My role as Technology Manager is unique in that it allows me to be invested in all facets of the business. While I work mainly with The “I”, I am also involved in installations, IT, and service. Each project I take on is something new and my goal for the end result is to always work to improve the team.
Being faced with emergency situations on a daily basis has made me appreciate how fortunate I am in terms of employment – knowing that I make a difference is the most rewarding aspect of what I do. It also makes me appreciate my personal life too.
